Amber Orr, Drama Teacher
Amber trained in Contemporary Dance, graduating in 2012. Amber has trained in all three disciplines of the performing arts, spending a few of her years with us here at Performers as a student! During her time at university, Amber discovered her love for teaching and directing. She set up and ran the University’s first dance society and company, HillStart; which is still running 6 years after graduating.
Amber teaches at a number of different Performing Arts establishments including The University of Chester. Having worked as Head of Curriculum and Head of Quality in a vocational Performing Arts college delivering BTEC/HND courses, Amber has extensive experience of teaching, teacher training, directing and choreographing numbers ranging from different genres of dance, to drama and physical theatre. Amber is currently part way through completing her MA in Dance Practice at The University of Chester and is enjoying exploring all things improvisation and creative!
Amber cannot eat anything containing wheat or gluten - which upsets her every time there is a birthday cake brought in to dish out - loves anything peanut butter and has an irrational love of pandas!
